The damage phase is when the Fireteam no longer has the three teams of two. Instead, everyone should have a given area that they’re in to ensure the tether connects correctly. It’s entirely possible for the tether to connect to the wrong people, or not even cause the oracle to explode. Every time a Vex sacrifices itself on a Conflux the Conflux will lose motes, even if the Conflux was previously full. If this happens, the team will not be able to make full use of the damage phase. It’s best if the Conflux Team puts one member at each Conflux, and floats around to assist as need be with long-range capable weapons like Destiny 2 ‘s Darkest Before Pulse Rifle . Additionally, a part of the arena will be destroyed every time the Sanctified Mind has a part shot off. When enough parts of the arena have been destroyed, both members of the Conflux team can regroup to form a quick tether and repaid that section.
